

He was born in 1969, as the fifth in a family of seven children. Joseph Pamplany was ordained a priest in 1997, after finishing his studies at the seminary. From 2001 he studied in Leuven and went on to obtain a doctorate in theology. He works as a teacher, and he is the author of a number of books. He was appointed a Bishop in 2017. He devotes a great deal of attention to the evangelisation of the youth, and to the development and implementation of new pastoral methods. He is the founder of the ALPHA Institute of Theology and Science; he teaches as a guest lecturer at a number of universities.
