Birthday celebration in the chapel

John Onaiyekan had his birthday a couple of days ago, the celebration of which has been video recorded. The 77 years old Cardinal has been serving as a priest for 51 years, out of which 38 years as an Archbishop. “In all my life I have tried to listen to the voice of the Lord without hardening my heart, and it is wonderful to be able to follow the Lord. That’s why my motto is: Thy will be done.” – recalls his birthday the Cardinal.
“The modern forms of communication have made available millions of wonderful and inspiring pieces of music around the world, including many Church songs.” - added the Archbishop.
As a birthday present a popular responsorial psalm song has been performed by the Obiblo Music group together with the celebrants. The Cardinal highlighted that this wonderful short music is not just like any other gospel music but the rendition of a special gospel, the responsorial psalm of the Eucharist.
Finally, John Onaiyekan expressed his heartfelt acknowledgement to the Obiblo Music Production that has prepared the new orchestral rendition of the song and brought it into his home. The Cardinal heartily recommends them since all the music plays of this particular Music Group is good for everyone, and not only for Catholics.
