Corpus Domini – 45 countries joined to the adoration

04 June 2018

We were called to an adoration embracing the whole globe on the eve of Corpus Christi Day, on 2nd June by the Secretariat of the International Eucharistic Congress. According to the estimated results in 45 countries of six continents - tens of thousands of people - joined the chain of adoration.

We were encouraged by the organizers of the International Eucharistic Congress that in different countries and different locations but on the same day at the same time we shall pray so that we may recognize and grow in the love of Christ present in the Eucharist, who handed himself over for us.

In 2017, on the feast of Christ the King in 18 countries and 840 locations more than thirty thousand people prayed. We succeeded in beating this number. 900 locations of 45 countries joined in, from Chile to Australia, from Canada to Taiwan. Africa was especially active in the last days of the registration, faithful from eight countries joined our initiative.

As we are nearing to the event in 2020 our goal remains the 2020 locations during the next chains of adoration. The organizers expressed their joy in the continuous growth of the number of the participants and more and more people intend to meet Jesus present in the Eucharist.

The organizers - just like after the event in last November - have left the registration open, so the number of locations and participants is still growing.

The times of the next chains of adoration:

24 November 2018, Saturday, at 17:00 (all the times are in GMT+1, the time zone of Budapest)
