The countdown has started - PHOTO GALLERY!

At the gala ceremony held on 13 September in front of St. Stephen’s Basilica in Budapest, Cardinal Péter Erdő Primate, Apostolic Nuncio Michael August Blume, Bishop Gábor Mohos Head of the Secretariat of the Congress and Bishop György Snell parish priest of the Basilica launched the countdown clock that shows how many days are left before the start of the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress.

Presenter Gergő Süveges, the choir of the Zoltán Kodály Hungarian Choir School conducted by conductor Ferenc Sapszon and the Debrecen Hajdú Folk Dance Ensemble led by Zsuzsa Tiszai participated at the ceremony. The band performed dances from Hungary and the Carpathian Basin. Many of the child performers will have their First Communion at the Opening Mass on 13 September 2020 in Ferenc Puskás Stadium.

Registration for the 2020 International Eucharistic Congress also began on Friday.
