A Sound Mind in a Sound Body – community-building running as a preparation for the Congress

The General Secretariat of the International Eucharistic Congress is organising a running-team. Our goal is to carry the news of the Congress on the foot race in Budapest in the middle of April through our mission delegates and co-workers – along with the Catholic communities – to the wider layers of the society.
One of the goals of next year’s International Eucharistic Congress is to show our communities and offer an opportunity of joining to those, seeking God. This race is an excellent opportunity to step into the light.
The majority of the IEC team will participate in the 7 km run on 13th April, but there are – of course – some, who take up a longer distance on 14th April (half-marathon). The warm-up of our team will be led by Márton Tóth, five-time Hungarian champion, water polo player.
Besides the joy of collective running and promoting IEC, we have made another offering: the kilometres run by our team will be exchanged into kilograms, and we will offer fruit weighing equal to that amount to a social institute.
If you would like to join this initiative, register to the race and mail the verification of the registration to kepzes@iec2020.hu. The first 52 people, who send their verifications will become “official” members of the IEC-team, and will receive a T-Shirt, made especially for this event. In addition, their kilometres will be exchanged for fruit, too.

Join us on 13th and 14th April, and help us to collect more kilometres together.
