Another Worldwide Adoration on the Saturday of Corpus Christi Day!

The General Secretariat of the International Eucharistic Congress (IEC) announces a worldwide adoration on the occasion of Corpus Christi Day in order to adore Jesus present in the Eucharist together. Last year in 900 locations from 45 countries of 6 continents, tens of thousands of people joined the chain of adoration. You can register to the event on the Corpus Domini webpage.

His Eminence, Péter Card. Erdő wrote a greeting to the event:

"Jesus Christ, when saying farewell to His disciples, commissioned them to spread the gospel all over the world. He promised to be with them „always, until the end of the age”. He is with us in his teaching, in his mercy, in his sacraments, but above all in the celebration of the Eucharist and in the Blessed Sacrament, that we adore even outside the Holy Mass.

The feast of Corpus Christi will be celebrated on Thursday, June 20 this year. On the following Saturday, June 22, we invite everyone for a worldwide adoration. The more the merrier. We encourage you to join in with your parish or community! Let this worldwide adoration be the next station of our preparation for the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress in Budapest, 2020 and let us relive the regenerating love of God."

Upon seeing the hungry crowd, Jesus tells his disciples, “Give them some food yourselves.”

Jesus invites us to do the same as we prepare for the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress in Budapest in 2020: to feed the hungry and to notice those whose souls are starving for love and God.

You too are invited to join us on Saturday of the Feast of Corpus Christi, on 22nd of June as people all around the world pray in unison for an hour to Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist, who gave himself for us.

The hour of prayer You give will relieve the spiritual hunger of others.

Please help organize the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in your parish or community and register online or join a venue at corpusdomini.iec2020.hu.

Feel courageous and forward the new of the event to your friends and acquaintances both in Hungary and abroad. On the Corpus Domini website you can register in German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish and Portuguese. 1. Search!

Find a location on the above map where an adoration has already been organised.

2. Organise!

If you find no adoration in your neighbourhood, feel free to organise one in your local church, in a school or hospital chapel, or in a monastic community, in cooperation with the local priest, church director or monastic leader.

3. Be creative!

You can pray before the Eucharist on display in silent meditation, in a traditional way, singing, praising, with children, families, young and/or elderly people. You can involve musicians, prayer groups, Rosary Associations, communities, schools – actually anyone who is eager to spend an hour together with the Lord of the Universe.

4. Register!

It is of great importance that all participants should be registered.We need you to reach the whole world with this adoration.
