Georg Schwarz

Georg Schwarz himself built his life back from scratch with the support of the Cenacolo community. “There was a point in my life when I abandoned everything that my family and my faith had taught me. I became a slave to alcohol” – he recounted the struggles of his past. The Cenacolo community is not a therapeutics institute, but rather a self-help “school of life” which is based on Christian values. The community itself is the cure. The life of supported individuals is centred around work, true friendship as well as prayer. The Cenacolo community is currently present in eighteen countries, and they operate more than sixty houses. Georg Schwarz is a former supported turned supporter. Today, he is helping young people to recover and restart their lives.
