Christ and the coronavirus

John Piper, American Baptist Theologian and Pastor has published a book “Coronavirus and Christ”, by which he presents his reflections on the current situation.

“How likely is that we are going to be contracted the coronavirus? Do we die if we catch it? What are the chances that a friend of us would die of it? Even if we knew the answers, that would bring little comfort. During these current uncertain times we are in need of something solid that can serve as a support we can rely on. We need a rock like foundation to stand on. By the present pandemic God has invited us to build our lives on Jesus Christ’s rock. God is good and shows us the direction” – writes the author. The pastor emphasizes, that God speaks, he is not at all silent, not even now, in these uncertain, vulnerable, challenging times.
