I do have no regrets at all

Bishop Gregory J. Mansour, the head of the Eparchy of St. Maron in New York, has undergone the coronavirus contagion at the end of March, and he believes he knows exactly when, where and who he had got it from.
The Maronite bishop hurried to help a passer-by who had fallen and was heavily coughing on a street of Brooklyn. People around were yelling at him to stay away from the coughing person. A week later Father Gregory showed coronavirus symptoms, and the medical test just confirmed that he came down with COVID-19.
“I do have no regrets. I was not thinking at all, I automatically acted upon a natural instinct. I would do it anytime, should I see again a person insuch a bad shape” – said the bishop to the Current News of the NET TV, a Brooklyn cable network. Bishop Mansour said that the virus helped him to develop a better sense of communion with the people. “We are surrounded by so many people having gone through the suffering of the disease, while some even die of it.”
The Bishop has since recovered from the COVID-19, and talked about the spiritual lessons he had learned from his coronavirus experiences.
“When one is alone by himself, he really has time to sincerely revise and to think over his relationship with God, his own behaviour, thoughts and his emotional life, while aligning them more and more to God’s will. I’m very grateful to my fate of having gone through all this.” – said the bishop to the news channel. “I’m particularly thankful to all those who are working in the front line: the doctors, the nurses, the retail workers and the pharmacists, for risking their own lives for others” – he added to his statement.
